An adults-only storytelling show

Ilaria wants to belong, but where to find her gang? Her girly side feels at home with the Dubai Bitchez (aka the Cocks and Curtains). But her arty side feels at home with the Poets, an altogether more serious bunch, prone to veganism, tattoos and naked yoga. Can she forge them into her own gang? Or is she fated always to have one foot in Doc Martens and the other in patent leather? Add in a Father Christmas with dodgy bowels and a kidnapping Italian ice cream man with a restraining order, and you have a quirkily entertaining storytelling hour from a unique voice.

Ilaria Passeri is a full-time storyteller for adults and children. In the adult world she is a co-host of the long-established spoken word night Verbose, and runs her own night in the Northern Quarter, Just Stories.
She works with the Lowry, Z-Arts, Trafford Libraries and North Manchester Libraries on her children’s material, and is developing a family-friendly show with the Bolton Octagon.

Micheál Jacob is a former Creative Head of Mainstream Comedy at BBC Television, and is currently a script editor, consultant and competition judge. He also mentors new writers.
